My Catholic beliefs influence all that I do and are a main contributing factor to my desire to help others.
In our increasingly global world, businesses are sending more employees overseas to conduct business. With China’s booming economy, it’s become a prominent country for foreign investment. Chinese culture is substantially different than American culture and expatriates may find themselves in an uncomfortable environment without adequate training. Poor preparation impacts not only the employee with the international assignment but their host country colleagues as well.
If your business is expanding to China or new employees will be interacting with partners and colleagues in China, adequate training is essential to success. Miscommunication and misunderstandings can be disastrous in business. This is why it’s important for stakeholders to understand the impact of differences in the Chinese culture.
I was born and raised in Taiwan, lived throughout Europe and spent over 25 years in the US. I have years of experience as a certified K-12 Chinese and ESL instructor. Not only am I a fluent English speaker but, after living in both cultures for so long, I understand better than most, what makes them so different and can provide invaluable insight for your international-facing employees. I provide workshops in language and culture for employees who are moving overseas to China, Taiwan, Singapore, Southeast Asia and Italy. Training your employees to welcome global customers and co-workers of various nationalities and backgrounds is also my expertise.
If training is needed for a large group of people or expatriate families, I recommend on-site training.
Training is also available via online chats and an effective option for one-on-one training needs.
