My Catholic beliefs influence all that I do and are a main contributing factor to my desire to help others.
Originally from Taipei, I moved to the United States to attend graduate school and have been involved with world language programs across the country for more than 20 years. I have a passion for sharing the Mandarin Chinese culture and language but I have also taught Italian and Spanish to students of all ages. As a certified K-12 Chinese and ESL teacher, I have assisted numerous children and adults who speak little or no English. I use my first-hand classroom experience and linguistics training to help administrators and educators build effective world language programs within K-12 schools and at the collegiate level. Through one-on-one mentoring and workshops, I arm teachers and professors with valuable tools to make students in their classrooms more successful. My unique background and experience living in both China and the United States has made me a great resource to help businesses prepare their Chinese expatriates being sent overseas on assignment. I’ve most recently extended my skillset by becoming a certified trainer in The Nurtured Heart Approach®. As a teacher I’ve previously worked with frustrated students and adults who would have benefited from this approach. NHA®️ helps children recognize their inherent greatness much like I strive to do with all students I teach; so it’s been a rewarding experience. If I can help your educational program, employees or family improve through world language training or NHA®️, please connect with me as I’d love an opportunity to talk about your unique goals.
